Top 100 trade comic collections

You can see from the sidebar of this blog that I've given some recommendations of what comic stories to read, and I did this on the basis of promoting good stories to read by anyone who - not having experienced reading comics and wondering what all the hype is about, might be considering what to read, so they could gain an understanding of why I am passionate about reading these.

Well, apparently, I'm not the only one who thought of this - in fact, I could say that there are two sites on the web that anyone with an interest in knowing what are the most popular stories around, could look at and maybe learn a little more about these issues they may want to try.

Talk about being more extensive, these lists reach up to 100 selections, and is based on fan polls (as opposed to my ever simple list which represents my personal choice. Ah well... just to let you know, here are the two sites to visit:

This is actually a list by Wizard Magazine, so expect the poll to cover a great many fans' choices.

This list, though possibly not as far reaching as the Wizard poll coverage, was done by way of podcasting by the listeners comicgeekspeak.com.

Again, the reason for this is to let newbies know what many fans think are MUST READ items. Stories worthy of uplifting the image and standards of visual storytelling through the comic book (or graphic novel) medium.

Look it through... then do yourself a favor. If you see a trade you've yet to read, try it out. Who knows, maybe you'll start liking what you read, and continue on.
